This is our first attempt at a village and train display. Our inspiration for this is to create a tradition for our grand-daughter, Katelyn, future grandchildren and our nieces and nephews. Seeing the faces of my nephew, Cole, and neice, Jada, made it all worthwhile! We started with a few village pieces, then the train and it never stopped. I built the mountain to replicate the Polar Express mountain on a small scale. Enjoy and remember the reason for the season!...

These pieces are up in our house today (Sept 30) for Halloween 2009. We've been collecting since Dept 56 started the Halloween series and tradition is we get one "major" (or group) piece each year as part of our birthday present to each other.
